Refers to any process used to transfer an image printed on paper to another medium. The simplest image transfer technique is to use water. Other transfer techniques use special gells or rubbing alcohol as an example.
Image transfer is often used in the making of polymer clay jewellery. It is also used for transferring images to metal.
The main advantage of using image transfer in jewellery is the amount of detail a printed image shows. It is also useful for creating interesting pieces by transferring images of photographs.
